Thank you for downloading Lookeen!

Only a few steps are necessary for installing Lookeen® - the following instructions will help you. Please be sure that you fulfil the system requirements before starting installation.

Download & Installation

In order to install Lookeen® on your PC please follow the instructions below:

  1. Close Outlook®. If you use Outlook® via exchange server in a offline mode, you have to synchronize your data first before closing.
  2. If you have not done it by this time, you can download Lookeen® on our product site or on this page. Click on the button "Get it now!" and follow the instructions you are given.

    When using Internet Explorer, safety information from your browser (beneath your toolbar) will appear claiming that “To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options..." please click on this message anyway and go to "download file..."
  3. As an Internet Explorer user you can decide between “Run” and “Save”. Firefox users will get the possibilities: “Open with” or “Save to Disc”. In both cases please click on “Save” and choose a saving location.
  4. After downloading please extract the compressed (zipped) folders with Winzip® or WinRar® to your PC.
  5. Afterwards execute the "setup.exe" file. After that you will be asked to read the licence agreement. Please confirm this by ticking the box “I agree”, if you agree with it. Then choose your folder in which Lookeen should be installed. Click on “Next”, and Lookeen® will be installed automatically.
  6. After installation is complete, start Outlook®. The Lookeen® Wizard will configure the system as necessary. We recommend that you tick the box „Start indexing when finished“ so that your contacts, appointments, attachments and mail correspondence will start up in the background automatically.
  7. Already during the index process you can see the Lookeen® toolbar above. But the first reliable search results you receive after finishing the index process.
